7 Element to Stay Productive

⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓⇓

There are several element that we can do in our daily task in the office that help us to stay productivity and keep us to meet the deadline without too much effort. Below are the element or I would say things that we can do to get our productivity at the highest momentum.

1. Reach to office 1 hour early – I believe some of us may want to reach the office “just in time” and go back home “on time”. Believe me, when you show up early in the office your productivity momentum will just kick off. Why be early? When you reach to the office early nobody will be around and that means no distraction. No distraction means more job can be done.

2. Continuous momentum – When starting your day, you should always set main objective of the day. Of course you need to reach this goal and by accomplishing your goal, you will fuel up yourself with a self-driven motivation and start spend more time on other smaller things. That is self-driven will let your productivity momentum stay longer throughout the day.

3. Get Second Monitor – Whether you’re using a laptop or a PC, additional monitor will always means more space for your eyes to look at. This means more document and draft that you can set as a reference for you to stay productive. Hey! No more Alt+Tab key to switch between windows when you need to refer your document.

4. Bring paper anywhere – This is a psychology signal to others around you. When people hold paper at their hand walking around, you would perceive them as busy. This allow meaningless conversation to be avoided. If you’re pull in to a meeting or a discussion you can always use that paper to take noted.

5. Disconnect from Social Media – Social media activity is the productivity strongest enemy. I’m sure some of you might say that it’s important for your business and personal life to be connected to this. Well you should schedule this in a period of time where it won’t disturb your task at hand. If not, you will waste up more time in reading or reply to posts, comments & updates.

6. Two-minute rules – Yup, 2 minutes rule. If some of you have never heard of this, it is where you need to finish any task at hand in less than two minute. Once start, you never stop until finish. This will shorten your “do it later” list and making sure that your productivity stay sharp. Do your best to hold to this rules because there is always something to interrupt you. Sorry, because I break this rules. This article can’t be done in 2 minute though.

7. Flip a Coin – Sometimes you start to procrastinate thing because you just can’t make a decision. Some of the less impact decision making can be made faster by simply choose a side and flip a coin, or if there are many option you can role a dice. I will not argue that important impact decision making do need time to think and decide. Things such as assigning a task or where to eat can be made by flipping a coin. Yes… Article finish, lunch time.
