THE ART OF INFLUENCING & NEGOTIATION SKILLS, 14 & 15 JAN 2019
The importance of influencing and negotiating are not about winning at all costs. In order to influence and negotiate, we recognise that we enter the negotiation process by aligning both party's goals in such a way that both sides win in the long term (the bigger picture) irrespective of whether we are the buyer or the seller. We want to win people without causing conflict or disagreement. Becoming more aware of the impact we have on others as well as an understanding of what drives our key counterpart’s opinion and position is vital in influencing and negotiating.
The core principle in this workshop is to focus on the single concept of finding win-win solutions. The program is based on developing trust through openness instead of posturing to create deception. This programme looks at the aspects from both the seller and buyer's perspective. The hands-on approach allows participants to experience the process by using various situations designed to illustrate the impacts on both sides. Concepts in positioning are evaluated from both perspectives and the best ways to position strategies are developed and analysed.
This programme also looks at the details of the various stages of the influence and negotiation process. It provides strategies and develops the skills that enable both sides in the negotiation to retain control over the key aspects while ensuring that they mutually move towards a satisfactory.

3 & 4 JAN 2019
The amount and variety of Information that is created and maintained in electronic format has increased dramatically over the past 2 decades. There is a great need to address records management problems associated with electronically stored information. As computer becomes more widely used, the decentralization of information (mostly stored on pc’s, tablets, laptops) has also become a common practice. Employees adopt their own Filing system for electronic records and information is not readily available when needed. Scanning/ Digitising records & documents while managed in shared folders/servers, however are not classified properly and do not sit in any Electronic Records Management Software and cannot be retrieved when needed. Other issues such as hard disk crash, data corruption, virus infections, no backward compatible for software applications, type of media’s to use, cloud based applications and much more need to be considered when implementing Electronic Records Management. While the same rules of Conventional Records Management apply there are still some major differences that must be looked into in order to better manage an organizations Electronic records
