Do you know that chocolate can be one of tools for stress reduction? Not any kinds of chocolate that we ate can help to reduce the levels of stress, it depends on the quantities and types of chocolate itself.
The darker chocolate that you ate with the appropriate amounts, can improve your mood from stress feelings to the relaxed one - where the chocolate healthy ingredients increasing serotonin and endorphin levels in the brain.
In Journal "Proteome Research, 2009" reported by "The Huffington Post", eating 1.4 ounces of dark chocolate daily for 2 weeks had lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Even reports from "Psychology Today" stated that, the pregnant women who eat more chocolate during pregnancy give birth to more stress-free babies.
Why dark chocolate is the better one to reduce our stress?
It is because 70% cocoa is the most beneficial variety, and it packs loads of nutricious and antioxidants. Compared to another chocolate which is has more fat and sugar than milk.
The taste of dark chocolate give bittersweet taste due to antioxidant compounds. It gives benefits on cardiovascular. Instead of that, the antioxidants on dark chocolate can make blood pressure become lower, increase good cholesterol and decrease oxidation of bad cholesterol, which leads to plague accumulation in the arteries and promote blood sugar regulation. Dark chocolate also lengthen the time to clot the blood and increase healthy blood flow by making blood vessels more elastic.
It didn't means that you can ate more dark chocolate. Practice moderation with chocolate
consumption give more benefits to your healthy; however it still contain many calories,
saturated fat and sugar.
